Tira-Miss-U & Rum Rum Raisin Ice Cream from Udders
The oppressively warm weather in Singapore is making me crave the coolness of ice cream more than ever.

I think this post should come with a warning for teetotalers. The alcoholic ice creams at Udders are very strong and are by far the strongest I've tried amongst all the other alcoholic offerings at specialty ice cream shops. I'm not much of a drinker so when I first tried the alcoholic ice creams here, I felt that they were too strong for me. However, I gradually found that the alcoholic ice creams at the other shops didn't give me the kick that I had come to appreciate. I became a huge fan of the Tiramisu ice cream (cheekily named "Tira-Miss-U") and the Rum and Raisin ice cream (cheekily named "Rum Rum Raisin") from Udders.
Barely able to discern the creamy flavour of mascarpone in the Tira-Miss-U ice cream due to the generous lashing of alcohol added while it was being made, it was not too sweet and slightly bitter from the copious amount of cocoa powder that had been dusted over the scoop of ice cream. It felt almost as if I was getting a Chocolate Martini fix in frozen form. Though I don't drink regularly, I loved the kick from the ice cream. The Rum Rum Raisin ice cream is less alcoholic than the Tira-Miss-U but only slightly less potent. I loved the plumped-up, rum-soaked raisins that dotted the smooth ice cream and the smoky flavour of the rum. If you're game for indulging in an alcohol fix in a scoop or two, the alcoholic ice creams at Udders are a Must-Try!
