Fishball Noodles (Dry) @ S$3

A favourite haunt amongst cyclists plying along Changi Coastal Road is Changi Village Hawker Centre. Having picked up cycling as a hobby a few months ago, I found myself at Changi Village Hawker Centre more often in the past 4 months than I have in the past 10 years.

On a warm Sunday morning, SH and I were famished after cycling down part of the East Coast Park Connector, down Coastal Road and to Changi Village. I had to get a carb fix and so I ordered fishball noodles from one of the first stalls I saw. I was glad to discover that this stall serves one of the tastiest noodles I have had in a very long time! Though the noodles were a little too soggy for my liking, the sauce in which it was tossed was chockful of flavour. The chili sauce was neither too sweet nor too sour, it was just right as far as the spice factor went.

The stall keeper is very generous with the ingredients. It's not everyday a hawker sells you a bowl of $3 fishball noodles that is topped with 3 fishballs, 2 wantons (pork dumplings), 3 slices of char siew, stewed mushroom and minced pork. I am a major fishball fan and though I have to say that the fishballs here do not contain enough fish paste to keep me raving, the flavour of the noodles suffice. The fishball noodles here are a Must-Try!
